I thought I'd start a thread here for FTM's to discuss the sorts of things they look for when searching for dating (and perhaps more) partners. What kinds of things turn you on? Turn you off? Do you seek romance? What do you define as romantic?

I know for me, I'd love to meet a woman who can love me for the man I am. I don't want to be anyone's ------ or "novelty". I want a woman to respect me, and in terms of finding that special woman, I want someone who knows - really KNOWS - how to be my friend (not just someone who agrees with everything I say). Some one who's strong an independent with just that right mix of feminity, and genteelness, and ------ity that never lets me forget she IS a woman. A woman who can stimulate my mind, as well as my body... You know what I mean?

What about the rest of you fellas? What do YOU seek in a woman or man?

I don't care whether the woman I meet that really gets me is trans or bio. I know how you feel about finding a woman who is interesting, physically and mentally. I've met a woman who is that for me, and we get along great. I knew she was someone different from the rest because she walks up to me and hugs me, and ruffles my hair. And of course I probably look like a puppy who's leaning into her all affectionately. We get each other laughing, we hang out together comfortably, I'm totally in love with her smile, and hearing her laugh makes my chest hurt I'm so happy. Seeing her I get this stupid grin on my face that I can't make go away. I don't know how she feels because I'm too shy to ask, and there's a problem and its the reason I don't look for something more than friendship in her...she has a boyfriend already. But I look at it this way, she's happy with him so that's all that matters to me; her happiness. I'd ask for advice but I know the answer would be a resounding "just keep it friendly". I just wanted to share because I haven't told any of my friends and this has been keeping me up at night.[/i]

I'm not living fully as a male so what I want my girlfriend to be and what she acts like is completely understanding. She doesn't judge or make me feel any different or less than some people make me feel. When she found out that people were calling me Dre she asked whether I wanted her to call me Dre and she told me she didnt matter what she called me or whether I lived my life as my birth or as a ftm. I was relieved. She is kind and smart. Sweet and gentle. She can be sassy at times, which I like, and she is very loving. I am about to move in with her at the end of the year i cant wait.

I am an F to M who would like to meet a man who want's me regardless of
whether or not I have a -----. Like you Drakkon, I don't wish to be a novelty or a fetish. I think if I hear the word "admirer" 1 more time I'm going to scream!
In detail what turns me on is romance and no I don't mean flowers and cards although that's nice too; I mean genuine affection from someone who can be both a friend and a lover. Someone who wants to make memories and have adventures together.
Additional accessories include monogamy, stability, social skills and if he is an F to M like me then I would like him to be comfortable with his body
or at least on the road to getting comfortable.
I dream big can you tell?...Smile!

Yeah I get what you all are saying, but I don't mind being an 'interest' a 'fetish'. My past two g/f have both been v FTM 'focussed' that being thats all they are interested in... N actually now I'm thinkin (as I'm here all on my lonesome) have I met the only two women who are gona be interested in me..? I think it takes a special woman (and I am talking straight FTM here) to take us on. I live in hope... There must be more of them out there...????
