What do you consider yourself to be?
Transsexual:
A person whose gender identity does not match the biological --- they were assigned to at birth. One who changes one's --- to align with one's gender identity. People who live as a member of a different gender than they were assigned at birth prefer to be called man or woman as appropriate for their chosen gender.
Transvestite:
Typically a transvestite is a heterosexual man who sometimes dresses in women's clothing. There are several different categories of transvestitism:
• Female and male impersonators, who dress as members of the opposite --- for a show
• Fetishistic transvestites, who are stimulated -------- by dressing up in the clothing of the opposite sex
• Drag queens/kings, who dress with the intent to amuse or offend
• Shamen who cross-dress during religious/spiritual ceremonies
• Transvestites who dress only for an hour or so a week
• Transvestites who live almost full time dressed as women or men.
Some transvestites will take hormones to enhace breast development, but generally have no desire to surgically alter their bodies.
Crossdresser:
Crossdressers are the largest group of transgender people. Although most crossdressers are heterosexual men, there are also gay and bisexual men, as well as lesbians, bisexual and heterosexual women, who crossdress. Many male crossdressers are married and have children. The vast majority live in secrecy about their transgender status. Unlike transsexuals, they do not wish to change their physical ---.
Gender Queer:
A gender-variant person whose gender identity is neither male nor female, is between or beyond genders, or is some combination of genders.
Androgyne:
This is a person who does not fit cleanly into the typical masculine and feminine gender roles of their society. They may also use the term ambigender to describe themselves. Many androgynes identify as being mentally "between" woman and man, or as entirely genderless. They may identify as non-gendered, genderneutral, agendered, between genders, intergendered, pangender or gender fluid.
Bi-Gender:
Bi-gender (dually gendered) people may describe themselves as both a man and a woman, as a third gender, or as other genders outside the man/woman binary. Bigender are people who have two or more gender identities. These identities may co-exist or present alternately.
Queer Heterosexual:
Queer heterosexuality are when one or both partners express their gender in non-traditional ways: heterosexual butch women or feminine men, male submission and female dominance, and taking up different gender roles. It can be applied to a range of practices engaged in by heterosexuals that are not specific to heterosexuals, such as polyamory, non-monogamy, b d s m and cross-dressing.
Man:
An adult person who is male (as opposed to a woman) who has a manly character distinguishable from a female person. One possessing in high degree the qualities considered distinctive of manhood. Secondary --- characteristics typical of a male person. Anatomically a man.
Woman:
An adult person who is female (as opposed to a man) who has a feminine character distinguishable from a male person. One possessing in high degree the qualities considered distinctive of womanhood. Secondary --- characteristics typical of a female person. Anatomically a woman.
Intersexed:
A general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or ------ anatomy that doesn’t seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male. Sometimes an intersex condition is evident at birth and other times the condition isn’t discovered until puberty or adulthood. An intersexed man or woman is someone who is born between sexes, having partially or fully developed pairs of female and male --- organs that identifies as a man or a woman. We are born with chromosomal anomalies or ambiguous genitalia. Those with unusual genitalia are often subjected to surgical "normalization" procedures in order to function correctly. Intersexed is the preferred term over the word *hermaphrodite* because the use of hermaphrodite is viewed as derogatory by a large number of the intersexed community.
