`Your not the only one i hate the word! i also dislike the word "transgender" but i have to use it on a place like this . "I am a Transexual" and the word transgender puts me in a group of completly different people i would rather not be classed with. I am not saying i am better than anyone else and its up to them what they do with thier lives for kicks and frills but as far as i am concerned i am just me simple as.
PS Its nice to see you spell Transexual with one S (the way it should be).

I am adding this part so as not to cause offence to anyone.(try to understand)
I was having lunch yesterday with 2 people who work for part of the police force and this subject came up about there being one word for trans people that word being "transgendered" and although it sounds a nice word it does cause major problems for full time transexuals and the reason for that is it confuses the general public! and that is why some transexuals get a lot of grief and verbal abuse because of the lack of understanding of a transexual person "they think we do it for fun" they actualy think we are trying to be another person when all we are doing is just being ourselves "the most natural thing in the world" being yourself.
We were trying to figure a way around this problem but it now seems impossible , the word has been created so it seems we are all in the same box now although we are all different .i do not live my life as a woman for fun i do it because i am a woman that just happens to be in the wrong body . I had a choice! be myself or die and that is how serious it was not just for me but countless others too.

`I do not like either of the "T" words......"Woman" is more like it. The courageous path that you have taken to become who you are on the inside should be completely respected and admired.

I think people who still use these words watches to many talk shows and really do not understand . This "T" word should be remove form our conversations.
