I look exactly like my photo on my ID so back then in the beginning of my transition. I would announce my birthdate as they are looking.

Reason is so the Employee goes straight to the year you mentioned

Example..

Clerk: May I see your identification?

Me: Sure thing

Clerk: Stares at ID

Me: Mar 22 1985 its at the bottom. Remember to always say the format written on the ID and direct where the birthdate is located

Clerk: Thank you!

Me: No problem


This only works if you are passable and the marker still says "M"

So you should have no issues unless your id is a picture of a male. I know I have never had any issues with bouncers in the past as long as you look like your ID pic that is.
