I and a colleague (Patricia Gagne, Dept. of Sociology) at the University of Louisville are studying the experiences and transitions of trans/gender variant persons. We are looking for folks willing to do a simple one to 2 hour interview with us (telephone, Skype, etc. is fine).
We did a similar set of studies, talking to hundreds of people almost 20 years ago and now we are looking at if and how the experiences of folks like yourself may have changed over time. (We’d be happy to refer you to copies of our past work if you’d like.) Please understand, we are not psychologists, psychiatrists, medical doctors or anything of the like. Our focus is on understanding people’s experiences.
Everything is of course fully confidential. In fact, we are bound by our university to never disclose your identity.
If you would be interested, we would really love to hear from you. If you have any questions, please ask, I’m happy to answer any and all questions.
I really do hope to get a chance to meet and add your voice to our work
