Well, I admit this might be off the subject, but what, if any, the effect of taking herbal hormones, (black cohosh, etc..) most of which is found in menopause relief formulas. I only ask because I have been taking these pills for about a month now. Prescription hormones are a little hard to come by for me, not to mention the health hazards involved when taking them without the supervision of a doctor. I've taken birth control, and the effects were amazing even in the short month that I took them, WITHOUT any testosterone blockers. are there any other over-the-counter methods to achieving a more pronounced female form? and if so, how long can I expect to see and start developing a more feminine figure?

Hi Debbie,
I have been on HRT for 7 years. I tried herbal hormones in the beginning of my tansistion, and they did not work for me. I would recommend that you get on an HRT "cocktail" for the best possible results. Also, please expect to wait for some time for the hormones to do their thing. Everyone's body chemistry is different. Safety is important as well, so you are correct, under doctor's supervision is advisable. Dear afemaleheart,
It is recomened that you do get on a stable HRT's program, of some sort's, monatored by a Doctor at one point. Herbal supplament are a wast of time and money. I too have been on HRT's now for 5 1/2 years, and found it to be excellent results. Being full time TS, and understanding what each and every one of the med's I'm taking is important also.
If your looking to find a place to buy them on line, I have had great sucsess with ~ Inhouse Pharmacy.com~ their you will fine what you need,and at a price you can afford. And also read what each one will do,effects side-effect, and precautions . I emphysize... PLEASE READ about the MEDs that you plan to take ~so you know what they are going to do too You. I hope this thread helps you in reaching your journy.
