Today I came across the following in someone's description~ Quote: To use this site is to pan for gold in a sewer. ... first suitable (publishable) response that crosses come my mind is~ Quote: We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars. ~ Lord Darlington, Act III by Oscar Wilde (sinner?)

My profile description says, Quote: p.s.: in general I won't take/have any interest in anyone
who has no photo ... & if you (do have a photo &)
would like to contact me, then EMAIL is the thing to do NOT IM so ...
why do PIC-LESS "strangers"/members (still) even try to contact me?
why do strangers (especially when they are pic-less) still send me IM requests?
My profile description says,
Quote: See my TravellingPassions profile to "get the full picture" so ... how come no one ever does?
My profile description says, Quote: Anyone who would seriously like to establish "rapport" with me
will have to (sooner or later) read (at least the 1st of the) essays
found on the "GenderTransition" website listed in the/my "Favorite Websites" so ... how come no one ever does?
My profile description says, Quote: Online-only contacts would be OK so ... I'm all for penpals ...
but I really do wonder about the preceding ...

`Many people compared using this site (and dating sites in general) to chumming the water for sharks. Most people have told me you have to get off the computer leave the house to find any meaningful relationship, otherwise all you'll get are chasers (and the weird ones at that).

`I really disagree, I'm only 20 so I don't yet have a very large personal network. That and I'm in the bible belt of America- finding anyone who is in SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance- works way better than alphabet soup and is all inclusive without the need to add more letters) positive alignments is hard.
It's fairly easy to find lesbians and gays, but I don't know too many people older than I am who are trans* or nonbinary. Pansexual, asexual? Just hard to network with people like this since there's no outlet or safe place nearby. I don't think we even have a queer bar anymore, and we JUST got our very first center.
I love how people seem to have this illusion that being in person guarantees less toads when in reality, wow, toads are pretty much everywhere. And sometimes it's a situation/pov toad- they may be very far from what you want but maybe someone is turned on or attracted to that toad?
So far, I've found a few people I like and want to get to know! I just made this profile like 2-3 days ago but I'm already meeting people that are so similar and yet so different, there's a lot to learn about and such cool stories and opinions.
