Identity crisis on hold

I'm still fully coming to understand my own s----l and personal identity, which at 42 feels a bit late. But it's all I can think about lately and I guess I am slowly trying to free myself and transition away from taught behavior more towards my own natural self.
I'm finding it a difficult process, but a necessary one for my own happiness and well-being.
I'm hoping to meet and talk with others who have had similar experiences, and who can understand where I'm coming from. I'm also eager to find an open environment where I can feel more free to just be myself.
