FtM Gentleman Seeks Friends or More I'm FtM (pre-op, currently on HRT), but I do have a strong feminine side. I love women's vintage fashion, especially mid-20th century, and I'm a great shopping companion. I drink socially, and I'm equally at home drinking a Manhattan or a mimosa (in fact, I'd go so far as to say that I generally prefer the latter). I collect 1950s teen romance novels. I have been known to wear lipstick (and to kiss in it). I'm inescapably queer, and my gender is as hard to define as my s----lity. I've been a horror geek since the age of 7, so if you have any interest at all in quality (or even a little schlock) horror film or literature, we should definitely talk.
I'm well and broadly-read, with a wide range of interests; I have a background in medieval studies and theology, and if you think that sounds even remotely interesting, I like you already. I love history, especially the quirky bits; in fact, the quirky bits are what I love best about pretty much everything. I've always been fascinated with cryptozoology and still have the plushie Loch Ness Monster my grandmother made for me when I was 6. I'm a good blend of the mature and the childlike. I'm responsible and dependable and I try to learn from my mistakes rather than repeating them; but I also get ridiculously excited about going to an aquarium or a theme park, or finding an exotic jazz LP with an outrageous cover at a thrift store, or finally seeing a Guillermo del Toro movie I've been looking forward to for months. My passion and my enthusiasm are what most of my friends first notice about me, and the main reasons they stick around. Well, that and my sense of humor, which is more than a little dark and very dry. (Except for the bad puns, which are ubiquitous and pretty reprehensible. Mea culpa.)
