My name is Joe (Joey). I just completed my M.S. graduate requirements in nutrition/dietetics. Right now, I am enrolled in a Dietetic Internship affiliated with Bowling Green State University, which I am doing in Los Angeles. For those who are not familiar with a registered dietitian, it's essentially a credentialed nutritionist who has gone through an accredited medical training program (it's like med school but for nutrition science), passed a test and has master's or doctoral degree. I'd like to finish my training first and see where my passion takes me.

I am planning on applying to the White House Fellows Program for 2010 and hope to work in public policy in Washington DC and possibly getting my doctorate in public health or working with the US Army as a surgeon general in the medical specialists corp.

I really enjoy learning and experiencing new things. I like philosophy, parapsychology (the study or exploration of "paranormal" phenomena), biotechnology, the beach, fine art, picnics at the park, computer science, astronomy, psychology, transhumanism (to some extent), geometry, really good food (who doesn't right?), and a good joke. I also enjoy traveling.

I'm a really nice guy and I always like to go out and meet new people. There are days where I really like to be to myself, read a good book or stay in and watch a good movie too. For the most part, though, I tend to be pretty ambitious and focused on finding a successful career which gives me the income, yet flexibility to be a good prospective partner to the person I love.

While I am looking for a relationship, I would like to meet new people so please don't be shy. I love making new friends too.
