A woman worth the effort Hi, my name is Melissa. I'm a MtF transsexual and I've been transitioning seriously for a little over a year. Dating, for a long time, wasn't much of a priority for me, as the transition process involves alot of time and effort, not to mention finding a place in the world for myself. The process is ongoing, but I feel ready to re-nter the world of dating. I'd like to meet some interesting people, have some fun, and make some new friends, with an eye on eventually finding that man with whom there is the right connection and balance. I enjoy dining out, a wide variety of cultural and entertainment activities, and I'm always willing to experience something new or different. I love living in NYC and all it offers. I have a full time job that takes up alot of my time, but like to play hard, as well. I'm not a total girly-girl, but hardly a tomboy, either. Just a woman who loves being who she is. I'm loyal and empathetic, intelligent and fairly well-informed and read. If you are my friend or my signifigant other, I will take the time to show you how much you mean to me, and always make the effort to listen and care about your life.

I expect a man showing interest in me to be intelligent, serious, goofy, fun, silly, loyal to the people in his life, and open-minded. I don't want a man looking for a "-------"(YUCK!!!), "The best of both worlds"(double yuck!!!) or any of the other numerous stereotypes and misconceptions out there about transwomen. I'm not looking to fulfill any fantasies, of mine, or yours. Nor am I some exotic, mysterious commodity.

I'm just a woman, a girl you might meet anywhere, looking to meet and grow with a nice, interesting, respecful, fun gentleman. That's all.
