Being active describes my life and this takes several forms. Around the house I really enjoy gardening -- I take real pleasure from watching plants grow into beautiful roses, peonies and day lilies of all sorts of varieties. I miss not doing this with someone special and creating something together. Also I enjoy keeping in shape by running and fencing but have done a fair amount of biking too and with the right person would enjoy getting back into that. I'm open getting into new activities like kayaking might be fun. I also enjoy dancing and would enjoy learning more ball room partner type dancing. But in the meantime I enjoy just moving with someone special. Think Neil Young's Harvest Moon. Finally I also enjoy quite times just reading together or cuddling while watching a movie or quite conversation.

My main goal right now is to finish my active legal career. Although my work takes center stage right now, I hope to retire in about 4-5 years and now need to close out this chapter on my life so that I can begin the next one in decent financial shape. During this time I would like be a little more successful competitively in fencing. But above all I'd like to go into retirement with a special person, a special friend to share all aspects of my life, and with whom I can wake up to smile and go to sleep with a kiss.

I enjoy a wide range of music -- centering on classic music in all of its forms but especially chamber music-- I especially enjoy Mendelssohn, and Dvorak. I also enjoy popular music of a wide variety -- but have to confess to liking more oldies than more contemporary alternative music like the Boss, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and also but newer Canadian talents like Laura Veirs or Hanah Georgas.
