I'm never entirely sure what to write about myself. I always end up rambling incoherently until I eventually make no sense whatsoever.. Though I suppose I should start with the basics. Hey I'm Rowan, an Eighteen year old trans male currently studying at Newcastle College. After having had to take some time away from education, I'm finally on the correct path to reaching my career goal one day - which happens to be a Therapist specializing in Mental Health and Dissociative Identity Disorder.. I suppose the best way to describe myself is by saying that there's more than one aspect to me. I'm capable of having an amazing night out with friends at the local night life, drinks flowing and overall dancing until we pass out. However also being able to have an equally incredible time staying home, watching Criminal Minds or The Big Bang Theory, curled up on the sofa with some food. The only thing that tends to remain a constant stretch is that most consider me the 'typical' old school nerd. I suppose I should take it as a compliment really, after all it seems to be a popular trend these days.. This is actually my first time signing up to anything like this and I have to admit I'm a little anxious. But it was suggested to me and I thought I might as well give it a shot. Sometimes you've got to take risks, right? It would be lovely to meet some new people/friends, and perhaps even establish something more with someone. I guess what I'm looking for is a person that can relate to me in similarities but also have that consistency of differences. Something I have found in the past is that the idea of me a being trans male has gotten in the way for most. It's as though they've found themselves unable to cross that barrier, and although it's not something I believe is usually a conscious decision, I would like for it to not be such an issue that someone feel that there's an ability to have something occur with me.
