I am a 33-year-old student, living with my family; two cats, Langly and Jeffie; a fence lizard, Peter; and a betta, Lady Sybil.

The thing that differentiates me from many I have found in my local trans community is my dislike of the gender binary. I identified as genderqueer for years before coming out as FtM, and still consider myself to be both genderqueer *and* transsexual. I feel I should be approaching my genderqueerness from the masculine side of the gender spectrum, rather than the side I was born on. Hopefully, that makes sense, as I am looking for more folks who don't expect me to try to live up to any kind of stereotype or societal expectation because of being a transguy.
