Empathic, brainy, cisgendered, professional type.. Hey,

I just joined the site and will borrow from my ok cupid profile until I get a chance to be more specific about what I'm looking for here. For now, here's a bit about me:

I can be quiet, warm, playful and sweet as well as extroverted, competitive, ambitious and, yes, jerky at times. I'm an enfp on the Myers-Briggs for the personality type types out there.

I'm a psychotherapist which feels more like a way of approaching life with authenticity vs a job. I used to work for IBM but am now busy with a business that trains other therapists and graduate psych students to work with post traumatic stress disorder.

I'm also one of the medical researchers involved in the FDA study of MDMA (the legal study of ecstasy) and other psychedelics for use in psychotherapy. I went to a Buddhist oriented grad program for my therapy training. I mention this because meditation and the medicine traditions lead to a very similar place of greater compassion, empathy, and an experience of depth with self and the world that I value.

I'm stable and fun. I'm totally, totally fun and one of my favorite things is to be in chill mode with good friends. I'm likely to enjoy doing anything as long as its with friends. In particular, I love being warmth and summer activities like volleyball, biking around town and driving through the mountains.

I'm a new part-time dad to a little dude who lives in Austin (too young to travel away from mom but I'll have him over the summers).

In terms of relationships, I've learned so much and have thankfully matured from the ones I've had...even those that were horribly painful I'm grateful for.
