They say finding the right person is a long journey. But what if you've been looking for year's & still you have yet to get to step one? Myself, I look, talk. But after a couple emails thats it. Mabey it's me. I'm not one for changing but mabey it's time.

`Even if it is you....should you change? You would no longer be you. One changes for themselves not for someone else because that person is suppose to like your virtues and love your flaws. It is very hard and it happens to all of us....after a couple of emails the interest is gone. I wish I could tell you itll be okay and that happy endings will come to us all but....ive yet to experience a change in this tide that drowns us. I can tell you we are not alone.

`yes, i agree. you can adjust to a person but you don't have to change yourself for anyone because that's who and what you are. and on being unable to break the spell of blessed singleness, well, you're not alone. we are more than 6 billion people in this world yet how ironic that majority are still alone and/or lonely. some have given up looking and yet some are still optimistic of finding his or her soulmate. but even if you can't find your true love in this lifetime, you still have a choice...either be alone and feel miserable...or be alone and still be happy.

`I agree that one should NOT change just topleasesomeone else - it WON'T work !! Be true to yourself (Honesty IS the best policy) and you will be much happier in the long run. And if you young and attractive LADIES think it is tough for you, put yourself in my place: senior citizen and "ordinary Joe". Unless one has the finances of a Billl Gates or Warren Buffet your chances of a relationship are ZERO! Even if all you want is a friendship for casual outings, no go. Personally, I would welcome either of you as friends (NO benefits), but would probably end up being called a "pervert" or worse!

`Haha - I've noticed that too, they'll talk to you, even act like they like you... You think it's going great then they just never respond to you again. Maybe the people we e-mail have attention span disorders?

`True true i feel you..i actually send out messages that never get replied too....its not like i can even get a convo started....which is what is is like for me on every social site i am apart of. I mean ninestigmas must get a lot of messages or she just didn't want to message me at all....
Man i wish i could just get a talk started and worry if the person or i will lose interest...but first i have to get someone to even talk to me.
But he funny thing change is the only thing that is constant..you may not change yourself for someone else but you are changing every day....maybe don't see things as changing yourself but adding on to who you already are.
